One of the ways we can discover more about the Lord, and His relationship with us, is through the prepositions we discover in the promises of Scripture:
In Him we are complete. Colossians 2:10
Above all gods, He is Lord, and Above the heavens His great mercy is found. Psalm 135:5, Psalm 108:4
Underneath us are His everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27
About us, the Lord is our shield. Psalm 3:3
Against the attack of the enemy, the Lord will raise up a standard and put him to flight. Isaiah 59:19
Beside Him, there is no other god. 1 Chronicles 17:20
Of the riches of His grace we have received forgiveness. Ephesians 1:7
Out of His lips has come a covenant He will not break nor alter. Psalm 89:34
By His grace we have been freely justified. Romans 3 :24
For out of His fullness we have received one blessing after another. John 1:16
With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26
Into the valleys He sends His springs. Psalms 104:10
Within us He creates a clean heart and a right spirit. Psalm 51:10
Without Him we can do nothing. John 15:5
From Him, through Him, and to Him are all things. Romans 11:36
You can also discover a rich treasury of promises in the prepositions “In Him” and “In Christ” that are found in Colossians and Ephesians as well as other books. This will make a wonderfully, rewarding study for you.
