Don't think we lose our power so much as we give it up, not often knowing that we have it in the first place.
You can't lose what you don't know you have. You can't learn what you have never been taught. You allow other people the power, and they dictate your life, and you are but a robot. When I surrender to my God, I am empowered to do what I need to do, just for today.
