Proverb A Day – Day 27 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Proverb: Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1 [NKJV]

Today’s Thought:
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that. "James 4:13-15 NKJV

Live for God and enjoy today. Leave tomorrow to Him.

Today’s Action:
Today:
I will enjoy today
I will not worry or boast about tomorrow
I will not hang onto yesterday
I will rejoice in this day that the Lord has given to me!

Genesis 21:33 'Abraham planted a tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.'

- Sometimes we just need to pause and stop and then call on the name of the Lord.
- Abraham stopped, planted a tree, and called on God.
- Remember the Eternal God is your refuge.
- The Lord is just a prayer away and He hears us when we call on Him.

PRAYER: Lord, I want to take this moment to pause and call on You. I give You my situation and the cares and concerns that I am carrying, because You are the Eternal God in whom I can take refuge. Amen.

Proverbs 18:10 'The Name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe.'

- The LORD is your strong fortress and your safe place.
- In Him you can find safety and security.
- His Name is powerful and you can speak His Name over your situations.
- So let’s run to Him, and find our peace and rest in His loving arms.

Prayer: Lord, I declare that Your Name is powerful, much more powerful than any other force I may face. I speak Your Name over my life and my situation and I choose to find my security and peace in You alone. Amen.

Proverbs 13:9 'The light of the righteous shines brightly.'

- You can be a source of light and hope to those around you.
- Your little light can shine brightly.
- No amount of darkness can snuff out the light of a single candle.
- So shine on and bring light into the world around you.

PRAYER: Lord, may my light so shine that others will know that You are my LORD and may I be a source of hope and strength to others. Amen.
