Default Us And Them

We that have this problem can never be like them that don't. All of us who have this problem have tried everything we could think of and nothing works. Recovery allows us to accept this, and from teaching us how we can be okay with who we are, it frees us from wanting to be someone who we are not. This in itself goes a long way in setting things right for us once again. It is only by accepting we do have this problem, and that we're different by having it, and that's okay because by us being in recovery we'll actually end up having more than those who don't have this problem. They'll never be able to understand us, and we'll never be able to be one of them, but we'll be okay with this, as long as we stop trying to be, and start learning how through recovery we can be the best we can be the way we are. What's weird about all this is, that when we have done that, they end up looking up to us, go figure !
