Default Blessings Through Hard Times

BLESSINGS THROUGH HARD TIMES

When we have hard times and aren’t quite sure how we are going to get through those hard times, we can always turn to God. He can give us comfort and peace about the situation. He can replace our worry and or fear with hope when we put our trust in Him. And while we are trusting in Him and enduring through the situation, one other thing we can do is serve others. When we put aside our issues and focus on helping others with their problems, we will endure through our own and we will be blessed. Let’s look for ways to spend our time, our talents and our treasures to show mercy and serve others today.

Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know we sometimes get too focused on our own hard times and forget about the needs of others. Sometimes we have our own pity party and can’t see what others need around us. Help us to remember to give You our problems today to handle and help us to focus on being more aware of the needs of others and how we can help them. Use us to be a blessing to others as we endure through our own hard times. Thank You, Lord, for Your word and Your reminders to do good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let’s look for ways to spend our time, our talents and our treasures to show mercy and serve others today.

We can endure through hard times by looking for ways to help others with our talents.

We can endure through hard times by giving others our time when they are in need.

We can endure through hard times by giving money to a worthy cause or to the poor.

When we focus on the needs of others when we, ourselves, are going through hard times, we will be blessed.

Acts 20:35 “And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”(NLT)

Focus: When we take the focus off of us and what we are going through, we can better see the needs of others and help them.
