Default Gifts Of Kindness

GIFTS OF KINDNESS

Many of us, this time of year, are busy planning and making purchases for the holidays. We look for special gifts we can give that will “wow” our friends and family and bring them joy. We spent countless hours on the Internet and in the stores looking for that perfect gift. However, there is one gift that costs nothing we can give to those we know and even to those we don’t know. That is the gift of kindness. We are called to be kind to others just as God has been so gracious to shower His kindness on us.

SCRIPTURE:
Ephesians 1:7-8 “He (God) is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write ways you have shared kindness with others.
2. List the ways you can show kindness today.
3. Pray asking God to keep you aware of acting in kindness.
4. Seek out people you know and don’t know and shower them with kindness.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your kindness to us. We are truly blessed because of Your mercy and grace. We are truly blessed You are so rich in kindness and grace that You gave us Your Son so we may live. We are so blessed You are willing to forgive our sins and take us in as Your own. Help us to remember the kindness You share with us today and pass it on to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
We are so blessed with so much. Let’s share what we have and show kindness to others today.

One of the best gifts we can give to others is the gift of kindness.

God showered us with kindness and wants us to shower others with kindness as well.

Let’s seek out opportunities today to share kindness with others.

We are to gladly share kindness with others. How we treat people is how we influence them.

FOCUS: Romans 12:8 “And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” (NLT)

Acts of kindness are like wildfire. When we share kindness to some, it spreads to many.
