Default Application

APPLICATION

The word application means the act of putting to use. Many of us have things we never use. For example, we may buy a treadmill thinking we will work out at home but we dont use it. We may get a new self-help book, read it cover to cover but not apply what we learned. We may read a Bible, go to a church group or even hear a message about God but not do anything with what was taught to us. Most of us get a good feeling after hearing a great message about God, but few do anything to apply what was taught. Being responsible means to apply what we have learned for the good. What are some things we know we should be doing but arent? Why not start today applying these learnings?

Philippians 4:9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from meeverything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (NLT)

Dear Lord, Your word is wonderful. Your word is full or so much wisdom and help. We read it and it gives us peace. However, Your word is also for us to read and apply to our lives. Please give us today a more urgent desire to read and apply Your word to our lives. Help us to know what we need to do to draw closer to You, to get involved in the church, to work in the community and to make a change in our person lives from the lessons we learn from You. Thank You, Lord, for Your word. In Jesus name. Amen.

We need to not only read Gods word but apply it to our lives.

A good way to learn how to apply Gods word is to ask Him questions about the passage and what it means in our lives.

We should apply what we learn about God so we can do what we are called to do.

When we apply what we have learned in Gods word, we should give Him all the glory.

James 1:22 But dont just listen to Gods word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. (NLT)

Focus: Apply Gods word daily and allow His Holy Spirit to work in us to do things that will bring God glory.
