Not Who We've All Become
Recovery can break down one of our biggest obstacles for all of us that we all face when we're all new to recovery, and this is that none of us really know who we are. We'd all like to think that we know, but we really don't, and we all like to pretend that we do. All of us are not who we've all become, and as messy as all of this sounds it's just as equally difficult for anyone who's in this mess to ever find their own way out of this mess that we're all in, through no fault of our own. Sure, we were all there, and we've all played our role in the making of this mess, but without exception all of us have been just going along for the ride, and even though we're not responsible that we were, all of us are responsible for getting ourselves out of this mess. No one else can ever do this for us. It is only us who can do this for ourselves, and the only way that's been found to work to do this for all of us has been the process that's found in recovery. If we all truly want to find out who we really are and truly want to know we all can, just as long as we're not afraid to, we all will. This is promised to anyone who is willing to go through with the process that's in recovery.
