Proverb A Day – Day 19 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Proverb: Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 [NIV]

Today’s Thought: Each day we people may make many plans, but God’s plan and purpose will always prevail. Therefore, everyday we should seek to know God’s plan and purpose in every situation we face, then His plan will become our plan, and we will meet with success!

Today’s Action:
Today I will:
Seek to know God’s plan and purpose for my life
Ask God to direct my steps toward His plan
Attempt to do God’s will in all things

A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9

The Height of God’s Love BY RICK WARREN

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 NIV).

There is no place that you can go where God’s love isn’t. You’ll never be separated from God’s love.
Nothing — no circumstance, no situation — can separate you, because God’s love is everywhere: “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39 NIV).
If you want an antidote for loneliness, here it is: You will never be separated from God’s love.
God is with you always and forever. You can look to his love for you whenever you feel lonely. I’m talking about a relationship with Jesus Christ. His love lasts forever, and his love is everywhere.

Nothing Is Impossible

Many of us have had occasions in life where things looked so bad we had no idea how they could ever work out well. Then as time progressed, things changed and worked out. I like the expression, “even when we can’t see a way God can make a way.”

In Mark 10:27, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

We need to remember that no matter how bad things may seem to us, “all things are possible with God.”

Dear Lord, help us to remember that you can always make a way for things to work out for us. Help us put our trust in you and believe that with you all things are possible. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

A Heart Poured Out

Bible Reading: Psalms 42:4-5; 62:5-8; 142:1-2; Lamentations 2:18-19

Did you ever have an ache inside that you needed to share, but couldn't find anyone who had the time to listen? Do you have problems that seem to have no solution? Do you feel restless and shaken, hopeless and alone?

Only God can give you the peace and rest you need. He will not allow you to be shaken or defeated. He has the solutions to all of your problems and always has time to listen to you. Pour your heart out to Him. You can trust in Him at all times.

Moment of Meditation: Troubles retained harden the heart.

A Talk with Jesus: Lord, I pour out my heart to You, for You and You alone can hear and solve those things that try to defeat me. Thank you for Your peace. Amen.

Victory Through Him

Thought for the Day

"If there is challenge in front of you that has been keeping you from moving forward, now is the time to face it, take it on, and get it out of the way. Do so knowing that God is with you and, no matter the outcome, He works everything together for the best in the end."

Today's Word

"Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:6-7 NIV)

Today's Prayer

Father, there are times that the roadblocks that I face in my life keep me from moving in any directions. I must learn that, when faced with an obstacle, I need to move through it, around it, or in a different direction rather than letting it keep me stuck in one spot not moving at all. As long as I move with You, no move can ultimately be wrong. Amen

The Whisper Of God

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You. — Isaiah 26:3

Choosing Godly Thoughts by Joyce Meyer

If you want to live a peaceful, joy-filled, abundant life, you need to understand it all begins with the thoughts you choose to think. Your mind is connected to every feeling you have and every action you take.

A worried, anxious life begins with thoughts like this: How am I going to do everything I have to do? My life is impossible! This is more than I can handle! But a contented, happy life begins with thoughts like this: God loves me, and He will take care of everything in my future. He will give me the strength and ability to do each thing I need to do as it comes up.

You can choose the thoughts you want to dwell on. Your mind is connected to every part of your life, so choose to focus on godly thoughts today in order to experience the life Jesus came to give you.

Prayer of the Day: Thank You, Father, for helping me think positive, godly thoughts. I am grateful that I am not a prisoner to negative thinking and that I can choose to be happy, and joy filled.
