Default Know It Alls

People could see us coming, before we got into recovery and in the end very few of them wanted to be us around. We knew everything, but at the same time knew nothing. We were sure to tell everybody what was wrong with everything. Being like this wasn't pleasant for anyone to be around not even us. We didn't even know why we were the way we were, or how we ended up having to be like that. One of the first things we"ll learn from our recovery is that we don't have to know it all any more, and that it's better that we don't, and even more important for us is to admit that we don't. When we do this we then become teachable and are able to learn to live by a different set of principles, ones that work. Then we will intuitively know how to handle those situations which use to baffle us.
