Default Perfectly

We won't be able to recover perfectly like so many of us wish the standard to be. Far from it as a matter of fact but that's okay as long as we keep our minds open and don't give up trying. Recovery allows and accepts the fact that we won't do it perfectly; this is why we practice it. As long as we are practicing recovery we are headed in the right direction, towards the idea of perfection. What we'll learn is that perfection is not really ever obtainable for any of us; this no longer defeats us in our efforts to keep on trying to get recovery. We will always be a work in progress and that's okay with us now it's a good thing. Those of us who had to have it perfect before they would even begin recovery are sadly no longer with us. They continued to want everybody and everything to be perfect, that's never going to happen and it doesn't work that way.
