Let Him Lead You
After three days the officers went through the camp, commanding the people: When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being borne by the Levitical priests, set out from where you are and follow it. — Joshua 3:2-3 (AMPC)
Let Him Lead You by Joyce Meyer The ark mentioned in today’s scripture was holding the Ten Commandments, which represent the will of God, and a piece of manna—the same manna with which God fed the Israelites in the wilderness. The manna is a symbol of God’s presence and His miraculous provision. On our journey through life, in every situation we can learn to “follow the ark” spiritually, just like the Israelites followed the ark literally. To follow the ark today is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, who lives inside every believer. It can be tempting to follow our own thoughts, emotions, or desires, but that ultimately leaves us unfulfilled and unsuccessful—only following the Holy Spirit is the way to peace and joy. Just like the Israelites only got to the promised land by following the ark, we can only find and fulfill our destiny by following the leadership of the Holy Spirit. As you follow Him, you can know that He loves you, has the best plan for you, and His presence and provision are always there for you. Prayer Starter: Father, please help me to be intentional to follow Your leading today. Thank You for the gift of Your Spirit, and for always being there for me when I need You. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
