Like this, because I am not my disease. I look at it as a dis-ease within myself, which kept me looking outward instead of going inward and healing the issues that caused the original pain.
My sponsor always use to say, `I am where I am as a result of decisions made, be it 20, 40, 60 years ago, or 60 minutes ago. It is done. It happened. Do I want to continue doing it or make healthy choices and make changes? I am given freedom of choice. I can forgive myself, but more importantly going to my God for forgiveness. I had so many amends to make to my God.
