Default Pride

As we begin our recovery we'll start to see that we live in a world where pride in ourselves is fancied as something desirable to have, and to show to others that we got it. Some even use the amount of pride they have as a way to measure how successful they are, and the rest of us are supposed to be envious that we're not them. We can get so caught in all this pride that we forget the basic facts that none of us really know who we are, where we are, or even what's going to happen next. When we bring our focus in on these basic facts we'll be able to begin to gain some sort of humility. After we have done this for a while all that pride we once had, or were so envious of, becomes somewhat hilarious.
