Default He Gave His Only Son

HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON

God gave His only Son to us on this day to be born as a baby in order to save us from eternal death. Do we remember it as we get up and rush to the Christmas tree? Do we remember it when we open presents and eat with our families and friends? Do we remember what God gave us so we can have a gift that lasts forever? A child was born many years ago on this day to save us from our sins. Thank God for His grace, His love and His many blessings and promises that allows us to celebrate this day.

SCRIPTURE:
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (KJV)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down your thoughts on the Christmas story.
2. List the things about Jesus' birth to be shared with others.
3. Be sure to share with those you see today about Jesus' birth.
4. Tell others about how Jesus came to save us and them from eternal death.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your only Son who was born to save us all from eternal death. Please help us to share Your message with others so they may know about Your perfect plan. We know this world is full of sin and we are to turn from that sin and follow You. Help us to be the people You have created us to be. Help us to remember You love us and how much Jesus had to go through because of Your love for us. We want to remember and share Your stories as we go through this Christmas season. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
The greatest gift of all is Jesus.

Because of God's gift of Jesus to us, we can have everlasting life.

The best time to remember and to share the story of Jesus is right now.

A child was born many years ago on this day to save us from our sins.

God loves us so much that He gave us His only Son to die so that we may live.

FOCUS:
John 3:17 "God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." (NLT)

Jesus was born to save those who choose to believe in Him.
