Default Experience His Gentleness

EXPERIENCE HIS GENTLENESS

In order for us to be gentle to others, we have to experience the gentleness of God. We can’t share what we don’t already have or know about. We have to first experience God’s gentleness so we can tell others how it makes us feel. When we take time during the day to recognize His gentleness, we can capture that feeling on paper or we can immediately share that experience with a friend. When we experience the gentleness of God, we can feel His presence and His peace.

Ephesians 3:19 “May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we want to feel and to know Your gentleness every day. We want to experience Your gentleness so we can show gentleness to others. Help us to take time today to stop what we are doing and recognize that You are with us and allow us to feel Your presence. Help us to look for You in the gentleness in others. Help us to seek gentleness in Your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God wants us to experience His gentleness and to share that gentleness with others.

If we want to learn how to be gentle, we must first experience God’s gentleness.

If we pay close attention, we will see and feel God’s gentleness every day.

When we make it a practice to feel the gentleness of God every day, we will be better equipped to share it with others.

When we reflect back on the day, we can remember His gentleness and journal about it before we go to bed.

Colossians 1:10 “Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” (NLT)

Focus today: Look for and completely feel the gentleness of God today.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
