Default The best place to put everything you have

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

Matthew 6:19-20

Many years ago when Franklin Graham, the son of Billy Graham, was a preschooler, his daddy gave him a dollar. So Franklin gave it back to his dad and said, “Daddy, keep this dollar for me please.” And then he ran off.

About 10 minutes later, little Franklin came back and asked for his dollar again. So Billy Graham gave it back to him. And then, about 30 minutes later, Franklin came back again crying and said, “Daddy, I lost my dollar. Can you help me find it?”

That’s the problem for many people, isn’t it? They very often give things to their heavenly Father for His protection and care, and then they rush to get it again because they’re not really sure if they can really trust Him. But whether it be our possessions, our kids, or whatever, there’s no better place for anyone or anything than in the hands of God.

My prayer is that each day, I would run to God with everything I have and say, “Lord, it’s all yours.” I don’t ever want to hold onto things out of fear, but to give everything to God in trust. Make that your goal today!

PUT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE INTO GOD’S HANDS AND TRUST IN HIM TO CARE FOR YOUR THINGS BETTER THAN YOU EVER COULD!

Jack Graham
