Finding Balance in Your Life
Keeping our priorities straight and finding balance in life is very important. And I have found that in order to do that, we have to make changes and adjustments on a regular basis. Life seems to get full sometimes without us even knowing how it got that way. We say yes to one thing and another, and then maybe we do a favor for a friend—the list goes on and on. Before long, we start to feel frustrated and overwhelmed because we are not able to do the things we need to do. We may even find ourselves doing things we don’t really want to do. When that happens, it’s time to reprioritize. The good news is, God wants to help us find our balance in life. I encourage you to seek Him first and when you do, He will help you, one step at a time. This Week's Scripture: Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 AMP Tip from Joyce: “We must be honest with ourselves about what our priorities really are and start making changes to keep God in first place.” – Joyce Meyer Study Suggestion: What are your priorities? Make a list of what’s truly important to you and ask God to help you identify any areas that are out of balance. Make adjustments where needed and use your list to help you keep your priorities straight in your day-to-day decision making.
