Let life catch up

Let life catch up to you. Don’t get so ensnared in chasing what seems important that you forget what’s truly important.

Enjoy not just the times when you’ve racked up an impressive achievement. Enjoy every moment along the way.

Allow the way things are right now, to be enough for right now. There is much you can do to make life better, yet already there is much in life that is good.

Balance your ambition for what can be with your gratitude and appreciation for what is. After all, if you can never be satisfied with what you have, there’s no gain in getting more.

Perhaps the longing you feel is not really a longing to acquire more. Perhaps it is a longing to more fully appreciate all that is already yours.

By all means, move forward, work, achieve, make a difference, create value. As you do, give life, and purpose, satisfaction, and fulfillment, the chance to keep pace.

Feel joy

Give yourself a break. Have a little fun.

Even if you don’t think you deserve it, do something nice for yourself. Even if there’s nothing to smile about, smile, and mean it.

Enjoy the day, enjoy being you, enjoy what you love, just because you can. Sink deeply into the beauty of the moment, and linger.

Feel good, hopeful, enthusiastic about the future. Enjoy being thankful about where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and the strength you’ve acquired.

Take a deep breath, and in that breath experience the wonder of being alive. Think a positive thought, and realize how amazing it is that you can do so.

The time to feel joy is always now. Let real joy fill your experience, and let all of life benefit from that joy.

Starting point

Make this moment a starting point for action. Make this day a starting point for new joy.

Don’t get stuck in the failures or successes of the past. Start fresh right now, and engage your best thoughts and efforts to create a great future.

Whatever mistakes you’ve made, you can now correct. All the skills you’ve developed, all the lessons you’ve learned, you can now put to good use in new and purposeful ways.

The part of your life that you can control, begins right now. Seize this shiny new opportunity and make the most of it.

This is your starting point for achievement, adventure, love, enlightenment and more. This is your starting point for living your life in the best ways you can imagine.

Feel the energy of all the new possibilities that have just been born. Now, from this great new starting point, jump forward and make those possibilities real.

Your own unique success

Your experience of life today is worth more than a half-hearted effort. Give it a rock-solid commitment to a meaningful purpose.

You owe yourself more than just doing what is comfortable and convenient. You deserve the rewards that come from doing what must be done to achieve your goals.

This is not the time to let yourself settle for less than your best. This is your moment to take full advantage of the highest possibilities life offers.

Stop wishing for some vague, loosely-imagined lucky break. Push yourself to take specific actions that will result in well-defined, highly desired achievements.

Don’t waste another moment waiting for things to get better. Go ahead, right now, make the most of whatever you have, and act within the situation as it is.

Every success you enjoy will happen when there is a decision, an effort, a commitment to make it happen. Step forward, today, and do what you must do to bring your own unique success to life.

Start sooner

When you’re unsure of what you’re doing, hurrying through it does not improve your outcome. When you don’t know where it is you must go, going quickly will not get you there.

If you think dashing around makes you look important, you’re mistaken. It shouts to the world of confusion, disorganization, aimlessness and insecurity.

Here’s a strategy far superior to hurrying. Start sooner.

Start sooner, and give yourself the luxury of being calm, focused, highly effective, and more pleasant to be around. Start sooner, and leverage your time instead of rushing to squeeze your efforts into it.

Work, play, and live at a pace that enables life’s richness to come to full fruition. Get the very most out of your time by beginning to make good use of it the instant it arrives.

Even if you’ve been late all your life, you can begin right away to start sooner. Start sooner, for a new moment, laden with brilliant possibilities, has just been added to your life.

The work in front of you

The task seems daunting. But take the first step and it will be much less so.

The challenge feels insurmountable. Begin to rise to that challenge, and you’ll quickly know you can work through it.

Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed by the intimidating concept of the work in front of you. Instead, become empowered and encouraged by the details of everything you can do right now.

Realize that every moment is an opportunity to make a little more progress. And those moments just keep on coming.

You’ve undertaken many actions in the past and you can complete another task right now. You’re skilled at making a difference and that’s precisely what you can do in this situation.

The work in front of you is filled with possibilities for achievement. Moment by moment, task by task, seize those possibilities, and bring the achievement to life.

Put structure to positive use

Structures can be confining. They can also be supportive, and even liberating.

If your life has no structure, you have very few limits on what you can do. Yet you lack any kind of reliable foundation from which to act.

Language, for example, is highly structured. To successfully use language, you have to learn a lot of rules, and acquire an extensive vocabulary.

That’s very demanding. However, within the demanding structure is the opportunity for rich, meaningful communication with others.

Perhaps you feel you are being held back by certain physical, social, or professional structures. But maybe you’re choosing to see just the limitations, and not the opportunities.

A powerful structure can work against you or in your favor, depending on the perspective you choose. See if you can put the structures in your life to positive use, and align their power with your best interests.

Care deeply

Can you care deeply? Can you, at the same time, not care at all?

Care deeply about your purpose, your efforts, your values. Care not at all about what’s beyond your ability to influence.

Care deeply about the moment, its beauty, its possibilities, its challenges, about doing what’s right. Care not at all about what others think of what you’re doing.

Feel the power of stillness within you. Engage that power to make yourself a positive presence in life.

Always, life swirls around you. Give love, attention, effort and care to life, without getting too distracted by all the swirling.

Care deeply about what matters, about what you can do. Let all the rest take care of itself.

Love endures

Love is not just a momentary good feeling. Love persists, perseveres, endures.

Love gives, and then gives more, and keeps on giving. Love gains its nourishment by giving its nourishment.

Love is not satisfied just to be. Love is eager to grow, to deepen, to find new expression, to offer new value.

Love generates energy and enthusiasm, patience, kindness, understanding and connection. Love eagerly seeks to be the source of new goodness in life.

Love challenges you to live at your highest level. Love connects you with the power and purpose to do so.

Give energy, attention and presence to love. And let love enhance all you do.

Every moment a miracle

Every moment is a miracle. Embrace the beauty, and live the value.

Photons of golden light cross millions of miles of empty space to fall upon your skin and give you warmth. There is no better place to be than here.

Even the most ordinary day is an astounding experience. Because you are here to dive into its endless possibilities.

Look around right now with your awareness drenched in gratitude. Consider the full extent of your good fortune.

In this small moment exists everything that is. And you are able to experience it, learn from it, create with it, explore it, share it, and live unique joys within it.

A cool breeze stirs the air and thunder rumbles in the distance. All the richness you can ever imagine is yours to live right now.

Back up to speed

Don’t despair that you’ve been knocked off track. Just resume what you were doing.

You had some good momentum, and then it was disrupted. That’s okay, because now you will get it back.

This is no time for blame or regret. This is your time to get back in focus, to get back on task.

This is your opportunity to get back in the zone of maximum effectiveness. This is when you can build even more momentum than you had before.

All is not lost, not by a long shot. All is ready and eager for you to get quickly back up to speed.

Realize that you can laugh at the disruption, and then be done with it. Know that your momentum and your good work are right here, ready for you to reclaim and exceed.

Let it go, let it be

Maybe it’s okay when you don’t get your way. Maybe you can live with not having everything you want the moment you want it.

In fact, perhaps that’s a good thing. Perhaps your life would benefit greatly if you could take a step back from yourself and your desires.

Life becomes exhausting when it’s all the time all about you. How sweet it can be to connect with the beauty, the wonder, the mystery of not knowing, the power of detachment.

Your purpose, your goals, your objectives are important. Yet that’s no reason to wind yourself to the breaking point with anxiety.

You’re skilled at evaluating what happens and responding effectively to it, and that’s good. Just keep in mind that you also have the option to let it go, to let it be.

Live your life, live it well, with purpose, with dreams, with achievement. And magnify the value of all you do by being able, and willing, to let it go, to let it be.

— Ralph Marston

People with a positive purpose

There’s something about people with a positive purpose. You can see it in their eyes.

There’s a certain energy that radiates from people with a positive purpose. It’s compelling, it’s contagious, and filled with the highest expectations.

Get around people with a positive purpose, and you won’t be able to resist. Soon enough, you’ll have that purpose too.

People with a positive purpose find a way. People with a positive purpose figure out how.

People with a positive purpose see what’s possible. People with a positive purpose make it happen.

Doesn’t it feel great to be among all the people with a positive purpose, following that purpose with everything you have? You’re precisely where you were always meant to be.

Source of good feeling

What would it take to get you feeling good about your current situation? The answer is, your own choice.

You can wait and hope and fight and beg for external validation. But the truth is, you can feel good without any outside reason.

You can feel good because that’s the way you choose to feel. You can see the hope, the possibilities, the positive aspects of this moment just by deciding to do so.

Do you find yourself longing for something to feel good about? Then go ahead and feel good about right now.

Feel good about the fact that you treasure and desire goodness in life. Feel good about your ability to choose a positive perspective any time you wish.

Be the source of good feeling for yourself, and for others as well. See the goodness, live the goodness, and share the goodness that flows from your own desire to make it so.
