Default Entertaining the right thoughts

Entertaining the right thoughts by Alive to God

Our thoughts affect our lives. In essence we are a product of our thoughts. Change the way you think and the way you see things will also change. If you think that you are not good enough and that you will never make it, then the possibility is good that you will not be good enough and will never make it! If you think about what you can do and what you could achieve, you may just surprise yourself.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

The things we entertain in our minds have a very real possibility of happening. I have a friend who dreamed of having his own business, so he left his job and started the business with a one-room office, a fax and a phone. The phone never seemed to ring. Instead of thinking about what a failure he was, he began to dream about a fleet of white vans fetching and carrying stock. Today that business has boomed and there is a fleet of white vans running non-stop. This is a positive example.

Job in the Bible tells us a different story. Job faced many tragedies but it appears that secretly (in his own mind) he had entertained negative thoughts. It is all summed up for us in one comment that he made!

Job 3:25 What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
