Default HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD

When we doubt is the time to turn to God, not away from Him.

Instead of grumbling because of we don’t get what we pray for, let’s be thankful we don’t get what we deserve.

It is not in one spectacular experience that you come to know Me intimately. It is living with Me every hour of every day.

You will see My face in all that is around you.

You will see Me in all of nature-—the trees and sky and flowers, the sea, and the animals.

You will see Me in the faces of those who love you and whom you love.

You will see Me in the faces of all you meet and touch each day, for I am there.

You will hear Me speaking from everywhere. I am not limited; I speak in My written Word, in the writings of others, in the singing of birds, in the laughter of children.

Listen, for you cannot miss My voice. I will speak to you through the words of people. Their voices will bring you My messages.

I am in every circumstance, in every situation. I am everywhere, in everything, and I can use everyone, even if they don’t recognize it.

You cannot miss Me if you but look and listen, for it is in your own eyes and in your own ears, that you will see and hear Me.

It is in choosing to see the good in everything that happens to you, to take the blessing from each moment, each new day, each encounter with others.

It is in seeking Me, day after day, year after year, and finding Me always there, always waiting, always loving, always merciful, and always giving that you will learn to find the best in every person and situation and take from each the gifts that they bring.

You will experience Me and My presence when you see Me in all things.

Let Go, Let God

I hand my worries over to the power of God within.

I may wish I could guide and control the actions of others—yet trying to do so leads to frustration. My intentions may be good, but the choices and decisions of my loved ones are not mine to make. What I can do instead is let go—let go and let God.

I let go of my need to be in charge and allow God’s love to shine through. I let go of any fear, anger, or doubt I may be experiencing, and in the process, I set myself free. As I release my concerns, giving each one over to God, divine energy surges through me and I am filled with serenity, strength, and encouragement. God is in the midst of every situation, and all is well. Today, one step at a time, I let go and let God.

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.—Philippians 4:6

Daily Word

When I worry, I am not trusting my God. Worrying is putting things into God's Hands and taking them back telling Him/Her that you can handle them better than He can. We worry that He can't doing the job right. Not exactly a spiritual outlook, and shows very little faith.

Be good to yourself by enjoying yourself every day in every way. Feel free to let loose and have fun.

Visualize now, yourself, throughout all of your ages. From childhood, when you were a joyful, alive, vibrant, wonderful child . . . through the growing-up years . . . to your current age. . . . And surround yourself in this beautiful light. . . . You of all ages . . . this is all of you, there is no time. . . . You are safe. You are surrounded in light. Send yourself this light, this love. And bring all of these images of you into your heart . . . so that you are complete. And there is nothing to fear. You are safe. .

Brian L. Weiss M.D.

EVERYDAY MIRACLES

There is within each of us the possibility of magnificence. Every moment is an opportunity to make it manifest. Let the spirit awaken you to a miraculous life.

Joy is our goal, our destiny. We cannot know who we are except in joy. Not knowing joy, we do not know ourselves. When we are without joy, we grope in the dark. When we are centered in joy, we attain our wisdom.

Marianne Williamson

Metta, or loving kindness, is one of the most important Buddhist practices. Simply stated, metta is the heartfelt wish for the well-being of oneself and others. When describing metta, the Buddha used the analogy of the care a mother gives her only child. Lovingkindness is also understood as the innate friendliness of an open heart. To practice lovingkindness meditation, sit in a comfortable and relaxed manner. Take two or three deep breaths with slow, long, and complete exhalations. Let go of any concerns or preoccupations. For a few minutes, feel or imagine the breath moving through the center of your chest in the area of your heart. Metta is first practiced toward oneself, since we often have difficulty loving others without first loving ourselves. Sitting quietly, mentally repeat, slowly and steadily, the following or similar phrases: May I be happy. May I be well. May I be safe. May I be peaceful and at ease. After a period of directing lovingkindness toward yourself, bring to mind a friend or someone in your life who has deeply cared for you. Then slowly repeat phrases of lovingkindness toward him or her: May you be happy. May you be well. May you be safe. May you be peaceful and at ease.

Joan Duncan Oliver

We all know people who have passed on. See their light shining, and let their love surround us and soothe us. Each one of us has an infinite supply of love to give. The more we give, the more there is to give. Yes, sometimes it hurts to feel, but thank God we can feel. Let us be comforted and be at peace. And so it is.
