The God on the mountain is still God in the valley
Sometimes we may think that when things are going right and things are going our way and we are having a ‘mountain experience’ that God is there for us. Then when we face a ‘valley experience’ and things are not going as we would like, we may think that He has forgotten about us. Nothing could be further from the truth. The God of the mountain is still god in the valley. Years ago I heard a song ‘GOD ON THE MOUNTAIN’. This song spoke into my heart and that fact and reality became real to me. Here are the words of that song: Life is easy, when you’re up on the mountain and you’ve got peace of mind, like you’ve never known. But things change, when you’re down in the valley. Don’t lose faith, for you’re never alone. Chorus: For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley. When things go wrong, He’ll make them right. And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times. The God of the day is still God in the night. We talk of faith way up on the mountain. Talk comes so easy when life’s at its best. Now down in the valleys, of trials and temptations that’s where your faith, is really put to the test. Chorus: For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley. When things go wrong, He’ll make them right. And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times. The God of the day is still God in the night. Psalm 84:5-7 ‘Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.’
