Default Responsibility To Pray

RESPONSIBILITY TO PRAY

Strained relationships. Financial issues. Job hassles. Health challenges. We all have them. Many of us are struggling. Many of us are suffering. Some of us dont know where to go or what to do. Its hard to be responsible and do the right thing when we are knocked down in life. When hard times come and we arent sure how the day is going to end, we need to pray. When we dont know which way to go or what to do, we should pray. When we are happy and things are going great, we should pray with gratitude and sing praises. Prayer is always needed, necessary and the responsible thing to do. God wants to hear from us every day. We should make prayer a high priority to do every day.

Jeremiah 42:3 Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do. (NIV)

Dear Lord, we pray You will tell us where we should go and what we should do. We are confused about why some things have to happen. We are distraught about our relationships that have turned sour. We are worried about our finances and health. We turn to You today, Lord. Show us what to do. Help us to put our faith in You and know You will take care of us. Give us peace. Comfort us. Show us how to give You glory in the midst of our suffering. In Jesus name. Amen.

James 5:13 Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. (NLT)

We should give God glory in the midst of our suffering knowing He is in control and will make things right according to His will.

When we are struggling, we need to do the responsible thing and pray.

When we are happy, we need to do the responsible thing and pray.

If it prayer was important enough for Jesus to tell His disciples to do, then it is important enough for us to do.

Luke 18:1 One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. (NLT)

Focus: Jesus prayed and taught His disciples to pray. Are we being responsible to God and going to Him in prayer?

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
