Default Attitude

ATTITUDE

Attitude is a little like integrity because we should have the right attitude even when no one is looking. We should have an attitude that is positive and always looking toward God. Things are going to happen to try and knock us down. That’s Satan’s way. However, we can choose God’s way and choose to be lifted up. We can choose God’s way and choose to be joyful. We can choose God’s way and choose to have a great attitude despite what others do or say. And when we don’t, God is ready to forgive us when we are ready to seek Him again.

Philippians 2:5 “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for Your word and Your Light which can guide us to have better attitudes. This world can bring us down so quickly. There is so much hate in it. But there is only love with You. You are love. You give love. You love through us. And when we choose Your way over Satan’s way, we can have the right attitude. Forgive us, Lord, for any wrong thoughts we have had, for any bad words we have used and for any bitter attitudes we have shared. Live in us so we can be joyful and share a good attitude with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

If we don’t know how to change our attitude, we can look to Jesus and model His.

We may be good at hiding our real attitude around others but God knows what’s in our hearts.

God will forgive us of wrong attitudes when we go to Him and repent.

We should forgive others of the wrong attitudes they have and pray for them.

Our attitude should be loving and kind toward others.

1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.” (NLT)

Focus: Our attitudes can help or hurt a situation. Let’s begin to practice having an attitude like Jesus had.
