So last week I was feeling out of control in my life. I'm realizing that feeling lack of control is something that I have struggled with my whole life. Alcohol allows me to be decieved to make me "think" I'm in control but I am deceiving myself. I'm tired of the games and fighting and pain. I'm grateful today that I fell so I can be honest with God and myself. I pray that Gods reveals himself to me and I become secure in Him and not rely on myself and my feelings. I want to be free. Thanks for listening.

Thank you for coming back and sharing again Hippie Girl. We do this one day at a time. When we live life a day at a time and live in the moment, we don't get so overwhelmed, and we can learn to manage our life. My life is unmanageable when managed by me.

I get up in the morning, ask the God of my understanding to lead, guide and direct me through this day, help me to stay clean and sober and give thanks at night. When I come to a stumbling place, a moment of anxiety, a moment of doubt, etc. I say the Serenity Prayer. When I pause, the Good Orderly Direction will come through, if it doesn't than it generally means, the time isn't right and the answer is no, not right now. Things unfold as they should, not always as I would have them be.

Freedom from active addiction, what a wonderful gift. Freedom to be ourselves! An even greater gift, the 12 Steps to aid us to heal and recover and let go of the past to obtain that freedom.
