Renewed Minds
Renewed Minds Read Ezekiel 8:1 through 11:25 “You will know that I am the Lord, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you” (Ezekiel 11:12). Did the religious leaders of Israel deliberately and systematically abandon God? Did they wake up one morning and decide to follow the gods of other nations? Or did they just let inattention and complacency take them down the path to destruction? We are inundated daily with immeasurable amounts of information from television, billboards, computer screens, and even conversations we hear on the street. These images and words have a tremendous amount of power to impact us. As believers, we need to be careful what we allow to influence us. Inattention may lead us down a road we never meant to travel. Romans 12:2 instructs us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation comes when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and speak to us from God’s Word. Thought for Today: Diligent attention to God’s Word keeps us holy. Quicklook: Ezekiel 11:7–12
