Learning to Trust
Learning to Trust Read Proverbs 1:1 through 4:27 It is always exciting when one of my sons comes to me and tells me he is ready to take the training wheels off his bicycle. On the sidewalk, I explain that he can trust that Dad will be right beside him ready to catch him if he starts to fall. It may take an hour or maybe a few days, but eventually I get the joy of watching my child ride with the wind blowing in his hair and a huge smile his face. In much the same way, God asks us to trust Him with the leadership of our lives. As we become more mature in our faith, God desires for us to live passionate lives for Him that bring glory to His name. Christians can do that by following this advice: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5–6). Part of growing in our faith is believing that God can be trusted to lead us on the path that will bring us true life. If we can trust and submit to God we can be sure He will guide us to the best paths for our lives. Thought for Today: God is always worthy of trust. Quicklook: Proverbs 3:1–6

Even though I know God will lead me on the best path, there is still part of my thinking that just wants Him to go with me, down the path of my choosing. I still struggle with self-will.

Thanks for sharing. I try always to invite my God into my day. I learned to have faith and trust Him. If comes up during the day, I look at it as what lesson is to be learned, and if this is for my Higher Good and for the good of the Whole, there is a good chance it came from my God.
I was told if you doubt yourself, you are doubting God. I just try to ask for guidance and direction for the day, and when it comes, try not to discount it. Even if it is new, and I never experience something before, I can look at it from today's point of view instead of judging things from my past. Ask and pray for clarity of thought and the Inner Knowing you need each day. It works for me.
