All of us can't help but to have a sense of some achievement after we begin our recovery. After all, by being in recovery we all able to do what none of us could do before, and this is the tricky part for all of us. Many of us will begin to think that we are now doing this on our own. We'd all like to think that, but none of us are, and it's only by us being in recovery that any of us will ever be able to have any success. We should never lose sight of this fact, and if we do we're all headed for trouble. It's a lot easier for us to all see the danger that comes from us not being in recovery, but it's much harder for all of us to know that it's just as dangerous for all of us when we start to have some measure of success in recovery, and that more of us have crash and burn here, then for those of us who don't even join recovery. We will all have to come to terms with having success in recovery, and we all can, and all of us can get beyond this point by simply continuing to do what it is that brought us here to begin with, and if any of us stop doing that, all that we have gained will be lost.
