Because of all the things that all of us have and haven't done, many of us will think that we're not worthy of being in recovery and we will use this as an excuse as to why we can't be. None of us ever sought out to be in recovery. It finds all of us for reasons that none of us know. When this happens for all of us this can be quite overwhelming to say the least. All of us can sense that something wants things to be better for us then we even do for ourselves. We can't believe this is possible for any of us because of the way in which we've all been living. What we all need to understand is how we've all been living is used by recovery so that we're all able to be helped, and so that we can help someone else who also needs to be helped. This helps all of us and it comes right out of the mess all of our lives had become. Recovery gives a value to that mess all of our lives have become by us all becoming willing to learn from it, and when we are willing to help someone else because of it. This is what makes our life worth living now that we're in recovery, and we're all worthy of doing this even when we don't think so.
