All of us when we are new to recovery go through the process found in recovery for our first time out of desperation. In time we come to understand the process is more than just something that can rescue us from our problem, it also can be used as a way of life for us. Learning how to live life this way is not anything any of us can do on our own. We need each other to do that. Only those of us who have become desperate enough are even able to think about doing what it takes to go through this process. Not only did we all become desperate enough to do anything about having this problem, for most of us today this is usually happening at the same time we're crossing paths with recovery. If we're willing to just go a little further and try doing the process that's found in recovery we'll find a way of living with this problem that works better than anything else we could ever find. It's good for us all to always remember that wasn't always the way it was for all of us for a long time. Before there was recovery, when we became so desperate that we'd do anything about our problem, we were told there was nothing, nothing anyone could do for us, nothing.
