We all have certain genes that have been passed down to us that make us different from others and causes the problem we all have. Knowing we have them, or pretending we don't have them, never prevents what's going to happen to us because of having them. Most of us have to have our own experience of what it means to have them, before we understand we do have them. This is usually a slow and painful realization of the way we are. The good news is because of having gone through that, many of us have found recovery. It offers us a way to live, as we are, and a way to avoid the pain that usually comes from us being the way we are. Science may one day offer us a better solution, but until then there seems to be no other way that will work for us.
