What We Do
The things some people do are unbelievable. There are people who will do things because they aren’t thinking. There are people who will do things because they want attention. There are people who do things in desperation. The actions we take every day reflect what we treasure or what we put first in our lives. It’s time we turned from doing things for the wrong reasons and begin doing things for God. When we are focused on doing what we want to do, we will miss out on what God wants us to do. Luke 6:45 “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.” (NLT) Dear Lord, we pray You will remind us all through the day to take action according to Your will and not our own. We pray You will give us direction and show us what to do. We pray You will give us strength to do it. We pray You will give us resistance against the devil from temptation in Jesus’ name. Let our actions today, Lord, be pleasing and meaningful to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen. A good heart produces good words and works. We need to fill our hearts with the things of God. When we take action solely for our own pleasures, what we treasure doesn’t reflect God. When we are focused on doing what we want to do, we will miss out on what God wants us to do. It is much better and wiser to take action for God than for ourselves. God created us to do good things. Doing anything other than good is against what God wants us to do. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (NLT) Focus: Pray about every action you take before you take it to be sure it is God’s will and not your own. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS
