Winning and losing is something that we all know a little bit about but the kind of surrendering that we will all need to do in order to be in recovery is something that none of us knows anything about and it's really not about either of these two things, it's about our survival more than anything else. What we all have never goes away, and there's no getting away from this fact for any of us. We all have tried to change this fact but in time we all come to find out we can't and then there's only one option that left that really makes any sense for us all to do and that's to surrender to having this. What this means for all us who are in recovery is that we can now go on living with what we all have after we realize that there's no way we'll ever be able to win at not having it, and by us surrendering to this fact, is what allows all of us to now be able to put our focus and efforts into not dying from having this. It's from all of us trying to win at not having what we all have that causes all of us to lose, and by all of us surrendering to the fact that we can't win at not having this we all then have a pretty good chance at being able to learn how to live with this. Recovery is all about all of us learning how to live with what we all have, that never goes away for any of us, without us having to die from having it.
