It became so natural to all of us to be selfish and self-centered that none of us could see it as a problem when we started our recovery. Besides we all thought it was our right to be the way we were. At the core of this problem is the way we all think about things, it's different from everyone else. And it's how we and everyone else have reacted to this different way of thinking, that led us all to start to become self-centered. Which in time led us all to being selfish. None of us were born like this, nor do any of us wish to be like this. It's the direct result of not being able to understand that though our thinking is different from everyone else's, it's not wrong, it's just a different why to think. And in many instances that's not the case what we are told is our thinking is wrong, because it wasn't like everyone else. We all are just like everyone else; we just have an ability to be able to think about things differently from everyone else. It's from this very simple misunderstanding about the way we all think, that the problem we all have comes from.
