Default Different Responsibilities

DIFFERENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Sometimes we think so much about what others should or shouldn’t be doing that we forget about our own responsibilities. We shouldn’t compare what others do to what we do. We all can’t do the same things and we all have different responsibilities. We are to have a right relationship with God, focus on the responsibilities He gave us and do all we can to follow through with them. When we accept the fact we all have different responsibilities, we can stop focusing on others and move forward doing God’s will.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Chronicles 9:29 “Others were responsible for the furnishings, the items in the sanctuary, and the supplies, such as choice flour, wine, olive oil, frankincense, and spices.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write out some of your responsibilities.
2. List the things you should be doing today.
3. Decide to stop getting sidetracked about what others do.
4. Pray and ask God to help you stay on track.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help us not get so wrapped up in what others are doing that we forget about what we are supposed to. Remind us of our calling and how we should respond to the needs of others. We know when we focus too much on anything or anyone other than You, we are going to get side tracked, emotional and burdened. Remind us to seek Your will, focus on You and understand we all have different responsibilities in life. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER: We shouldn’t compare what others do to what we do. Our levels of responsibilities are different.

When we dwell too much on what someone else is doing or not doing, we lose focus on what we should be doing.

We should focus on our own responsibilities and not get wrapped up in what others should be doing.

We all can’t do the same things well and we all have different responsibilities.

When we accept the fact we all have different responsibilities, we can move forward doing God’s will.

FOCUS: 1 Corinthians 12:5 “There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.” (NLT)

We should focus on God knowing we all have different work to do for one common purpose – to worship and serve only Him.
