Don’t blame Don’t blame your situation. Accept it, deal with it, transcend it and create something more positive. Don’t blame anyone else. Embrace responsibility, and put yourself in position to make a difference. When you look for someone or something to blame, you have to look backwards. You’re much better off looking at the way forward. Raise everyone’s expectations by moving beyond the question of blame. Look for ways to make progress instead of ways to make excuses. You now have an opportunity to do something positive. Rather than blaming someone, you can benefit everyone. Put your energy where it will do the most good. Make the smart choice to leave the blame behind as you lead your whole world forward. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#BZPVj7wPWlEi9FXo.99

Use your expectations Expect to make a difference today. Then do it. Expect to use what you have, from where you are, to create new and meaningful value. Expect to use your time and skills to add real goodness to life. Expect to be kind, considerate, interested and helpful. Expect to be patient, understanding, generous and truthful. Expect bright new opportunities to come your way, and you’ll see them when they do. Expect to find wonder and beauty, and they’ll delight you everywhere you go. Expect to make this the most fulfilling day yet, then act to make it so. Expect more of yourself than ever before, and see how much you grow. Use your expectations to create a shining path in front of you. Then walk that path with persistence and passion, and make your dreams come true. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#r1PIAwM0pco2m2GK.99

Now possible This day is here, and anything is now possible. Don’t let anyone tell you differently, especially not yourself. There have always been many obstacles to creating value, and those obstacles remain. But they don’t have to stop you. Great and glorious things have been achieved in the face of seemingly unassailable challenges. Even greater achievements are now possible, and possible for you. No matter how young or old you may be, your progress in life is just getting started. There is a whole new world of value for you to create, and now is your time to act. Do you realize how completely wonderful it is that you are here today, able to make a difference? Now, do something with that priceless opportunity. There really is no limit to what is now possible, and you know it, and you’re ready to do something about it. So go, and do, live, enjoy, create, love, laugh, grow, and make the very best of what can be. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#DKAsTdteaHIUyFCv.99

Jump right in Stop waiting, dreaming and hoping for someday. Start living and working today to achieve the best of your dreams and to fulfill the highest of your hopes. Whatever you put off until someday, never happens. Someday is forever out there, just around the corner, but never here and now. All that you have, and all the great and creative things you’re able to do, are here and now. So jump right in and enjoy making life happen, here and now. Waiting for someday is a lame excuse and a convenient way to hide from your own best possibilities. Choose today to stop hiding and to start really living. No matter how ambitious your goal may be, there is something you can do about it right now. There is no need, and there is no point, in putting your fulfillment off until some non-existent someday. Today is what you have, and it’s filled with energy, with possibility, with life and awareness and with your powerful presence. Embrace this day with all its richness, and use its moments to live true to your highest vision. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#OqLbmuRJ2BzewLrM.99

Boldly forward Staying where you’ve always been is warm and cozy and comfortable. It’s easy to get used to accepting less than you’re capable of achieving, just because it’s so familiar. The moment you decide to move ahead, to try something new, to expect more of yourself, it can be frightening. When you take that first step out into the unrelenting, chilly wind of reality and you get blown around a bit, it can make you want to jump back into the refuge of your comfort zone. Yet staying cozy all the time will eventually smother you. The worst regrets you’ll ever know are the regrets for things not attempted. When you step away from what’s comfortable, you open yourself up to a world of possibilities. Some of those possibilities can be daunting. Yet when you’re able to accept the risks, when you can live with the most difficult challenges and work your way through them, you’ll reap the greatest, most fulfilling rewards. What do you really, truly desire from life -- to stay comfortably where you are and to never again make a difference, or to fill each precious day with the best that you can be? Choose to live. Choose to look those difficult challenges in the eye and dare to make the most of them. Step boldly forward and take delight in how far you can go. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/motivate/011005....hxt2FGQvyRe.99

Feeling good Very often, the things you think will make you feel good in the moment will leave you feeling very bad in the long run. Yet you can choose to feel good by doing what’s truly good and right for you, for those around you, and for your world. Don’t settle for just feeling good because of something you’re doing or something you have or someone you’re with. Don’t make your good feelings conditioned on what you’re watching, eating, drinking or experiencing. Make the choice to feel great no matter what. Allow unencumbered good feelings to come from you rather than limiting your good feelings to only certain circumstances. Imagine the freedom of not being held hostage to your desire for good feelings. Imagine feeling good because of your choice, and not being emotionally dependent on things that are beyond your control. Life can feel great if you let it. Let it, by letting go of what you think you need and allowing the authentic goodness of who you are. Feel good because it is what you choose to feel. Feel good, and free yourself from the needs that can steal your good feelings away. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#u7q50CrXjfMUHfBf.99

Be honest Be honest about who you are. It’s tiring to pretend you’re someone you’re not. Be honest about what you desire. It’s a waste of time and energy to strive for what you don’t even want. Be honest with yourself and with others about the challenges and the possibilities. You can absolutely achieve great things, and the way to do that is by being realistic about what must be done. Be honest in what you say and in what you do. Put the irrefutable power of truth on your side. Deception may seem easy and convenient in the moment, yet it is invariably destructive in the long run. Being honest requires strength, discipline and integrity, and those will all serve you well. Be honest for your own sake, for the sake of others, and for the sake of truth itself. Be honest, and give a continuing, solid boost to your best possibilities. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#LkhGavC8ichp49bv.99

Power in peacefulness You can acknowledge and address the problems without being consumed by them. You can be peaceful and still be highly effective. You can let go of past regrets while still finding strength in the lessons they have taught you. You can be free of worries while also embracing responsibility for your life and your world. Being peaceful does not mean you must be isolated from life. In fact, with a purposeful, peaceful perspective you can be actively involved in creating great value for yourself and for others. Being peaceful is powerful because you don’t have to fight against yourself, or against anything or anyone else for that matter. When you are peaceful within, you can work to support positive possibilities instead of feeling the need to fight against negative factors. You can choose to deeply care about everything while at the same time not letting anything control the way you feel. You can give your best to any situation, regardless of what the situation gives to you. Let peace live deeply and robustly within you, where nothing can diminish its power. Then draw upon that power, every moment, to bring real goodness to everything you do. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#dBiIfRr7JpqSQFZf.99

A positive strategy There may not be many reasons to be positive today, but you don’t need a reason to be positive. Being positive is a strategy, not a reaction. The most powerful time to be positive is precisely when things around you are not so positive. In such a case, your approach can dramatically change the situation for the better. Don’t wait for a reason to be positive. Choose to be positive about your circumstances, about the possibilities, and about what you can do. Deal effectively with the challenges as they arrive while also looking beyond them. Visualize the positive outcome you have chosen, and let that vision push you forward. Life changes greatly from day to day, and things will not always be the way they are right now. With a positive perspective, you now have the opportunity to make the future better than the present. Instead of looking for reasons to be positive, look for ways to express your positive vision. Work to make your life resonate with that vision, and enjoy all the valuable outcomes you create. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#31bmEvGZHRKqDhgv.99

Ask and discover Ask a question, and you will begin to create an answer. Assume that there are plenty of positive possibilities, and you will naturally give life to those possibilities. Why is life so good for you in this moment? What is it about today, and about the way you intend to live it, that will make it the best day ever? What you create in your life starts with what you imagine, and then is fully manifested by what you do. A constant stream of positive, empowering questions leads toward a rich, fulfilling life. How are you able to give value to this situation, right here, right now? How can your own unique perspective be expressed so as to enrich the world? Ask yourself what is beautiful about this day, and clearly see that beauty as the day unfolds. Ask yourself why you care, and see the underlying meaning in all you do, and in all you encounter. The substance of your life goes far beyond what you already realize. Ask, and discover how truly outstanding life can be. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#b2kgPqGhtkSwQPP8.99

What magnificent world What if you have more power, much more power in fact, than you realize? What would you want to do with it? What if the way you look at the world could change the world itself? What kind of world would you choose to see? What if things you always considered impossible were suddenly to happen for you? What new possibilities would you start to consider? What if you discovered, without the slightest trace of doubt, that your reality springs faithfully and relentlessly from your imagination? What would you begin to imagine? Do the limits in your life exist because someone or something has imposed them on you? Or are they there because you have chosen the comfort of their familiarity? Imagine letting go of those limits, and watching them fall effortlessly away. What magnificent world will you dare to create? — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/motivate/061012....7PztEDKdq3i.99

Well worth it Life on any given day can be a lot of trouble. And life is well worth any trouble, any challenge that it imposes. The process of getting things done is messy and inconvenient. The resulting positive difference you make is well worth the inconvenience. Every good thing in life has a price. But if the price is the only thing you focus on, you miss seeing life’s great value. For when you are willing to pay the price, what you get is a reward even greater than the price you’ve paid. What you get, what you experience, what you live and create, is well worth all you put into it. If you avoid the challenges and hide from the difficult tasks, you lose out on the great value that you yourself can create. Choose instead to embrace the price, to willingly pay it, and you’ll find that choice to be well worth it. Embedded in each challenge, in each difficulty, in every price, is a great reward. Step up, do what you must, and experience for yourself that the richness coming into your world is well worth the price you pay. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#SAwRqdfDRK4p8JAK.99

Being impressive You don’t have to act impressive to be impressive. You just have to be you. And in any case, being impressive is not what matters. What matters is living the life you choose, and finding true fulfillment in doing so. If you’re constantly worried about how you appear to others, you won’t appear in a very good light. It’s ridiculously easy to let go of that worry when you remind yourself how useless and counterproductive it really is. Give yourself permission to enjoy the moment you’re in. Challenge yourself to share that joy, and wonder, and love, and enthusiasm, with as many people as possible, in your own special way. What other people think of you, or of anything else, is their business. Your business is to give rich expression to the unique beauty of life that is within you. Go beyond striving to appear this way or that. Put your thoughts, energy and passion into authentic living, and add real joy and substance to every moment. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#SeWYxPoCrvrEh3hp.99

Make it outstanding What do you really, truly want to do with all that you have? This is your chance to make it happen. Don’t waste this moment regretting other moments in your past, or fearing moments to come. Live this moment with joy, gratitude and positive purpose. Let go of the thoughts that bring you down. Live today in a way that lifts you up, and all of life with you. Stop repeating the same old tired excuses to yourself and to others. Choose now to be free of the limitations you’ve invented for yourself. Everything necessary for joy and fulfillment is with you right here and now. Because all it really takes is you, and your choice to fully live. Stop waiting, stop wishing, and stop putting off the rich fulfillment you know can be yours. Now is your moment to live like you mean it, with all that you have, so seize this grand opportunity and make it outstanding. — Ralph Marston Read more at http://greatday.com/#IYit47tvPi7sYQat.99
