In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV
…..
Amen.
Commonly, prayer is ended with the word “amen.” It is a way of saying “yes” to all you asked and believed. It is a word of assurance and confidence. It is the expression of a firm trust and an abiding hope. It is saying that all has been given to God, and all is entrusted to God.
It is the affirmation that acknowledges that God is in control, that His ways are best, that His timing is perfect, that His plans are wise, that His word is sure, that His judgments are right, and that the final outcome rests with Him.
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.
Psalm 57:1 NKJV
