Default Beauty by God

Beauty by God

Bible Reading: Ephesians 316-19, Romans 8:18;I Corinthians 2:9-10;1 John 3:2

There are many reasons why we fail to see God's beauty in each other. For one thing, we get stuck on outward appearances, and don't take the time or trouble to get to know the real person that lives inside.

For another, our standards of beauty are based on this world, instead of on the world to come. The Bible says that it is not yet apparent what we shall be, but we shall be beautiful like God.

Moment of Meditation: The world's beauty is external; internal loveliness created by God is eternal.

A Talk with Jesus: Father, help me to see YOUR beauty, the real person that lives inside, in others. Amen.

God beauty is every where. So often we ignore it, don't acknowledge it, or appreciate it. It is a big beautiful place we live in, and it is much easier to live in that space, if we allow allow our God to beautify us from the inside out.

Sometimes on a clear night, I love to go outside and just look up at the sky, at the stars and the moon. So very beautiful. I have loved doing that since I was a child. I love feeling the wind blow through my hair. I love feeling the rain on my face. I love basking in the sun. I love seeing the deer and other animals in our backyard or in the field out back.

We just have to make the time to slow down and enjoy the beautiful gifts God has put right before our eyes.

My favourite space was on the farm growing up. It consisted of a beaver pond, surrounded by tall grass and birch trees, with a few of an open field of wild flowers that was like a rainbow, so peaceful, so quiet, and a place to get in touch with God. It felt like all you did not have to reach out and take it, it was there and it was yours.
