Default Completely Filled

COMPLETELY FILLED

When a glass or jar is filled completely up to the top, there is no room for anything else. When something else does get placed in there, it pushes the contents out over the rim. When something is completely filled, it is at 100% capacity of its fullness. It is doing its job completely. It is strong and full of what gives it purpose. We can be strong when we are completely filled with the Holy Spirit. When we are 100% filled with God’s word, His love, His Holy Spirit, we will be strong and living on purpose for Him. When we stay completely filled with God, He is preparing us for our next opportunity to serve Him.

Romans 15:13 “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we pray today You will fill us completely with joy and peace and love. We pray today You will give us the confident hope from the power of the Holy Spirit to stay strong for You. Help us today to be 100% for You and not let nothing come between us and our relationship with You. Help us to study Your word more, fellowship with other Christians and completely live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We should ask ourselves today what more can we do to be completely filled with the Holy Spirit.

Living as God wants us to live will help us to be strong for Him when times get tough.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit helps us to make the right decisions at all times.

Allowing God to cleanse us daily and fill us completely with His Holy Spirit will get us in the right frame of mind for the day.

We should ask God today to empty our heart, soul and mind and completely fill us with His Holy Spirit so we can show His love, joy and peace to others.

Titus 2:14 “He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.” (NLT)

When I came into recovery, I was very fragmented and empty. All my life I had felt less than, not whole, different, etc. and through the program, I was able to fill up on spiritual things, instead of using people, places and things.

When I tried to quit smoking, people said, "We will still love you if you gain 30 lbs." I replied, "Yes, I know, but I won't love myself and after 6 days, I relapsed."

I didn't want to quit, it took 7 years in recovery to become willing to quit. I had to pray for the willingness to quit. I went to NA, picked up key tags, worked the Steps and applied them to my life. I had to pray for the obsession to be taken from me. I still want a cigarette, but just for today, I choose not to use. If I picked up a cigarette, it would kill me faster than a pill or a drink.

Through working the 12 Steps, I was reborn of the spirit. The person that came into recovery, is no more.
