According to this site:
Cheryl - Means: Beloved Though I have heard it was a made-up name and really didn't have a specific meaning, but people ascribe different meanings to it. I was given this name in 1959 -- looks as if it was most popular in the 50's. I have met more Cheryl's in Pittsburgh than in California. In California it is pronounced Cher - url In Pittsburgh, they tend to pronounce it Shirl. At any rate, I know I am a beloved child of God and He has also miraculously saved me from myself! Thanks for the fun, Jo! |

Mine is very rare...
Leana: Climbing vine (from the Liana vines found in tropical areas). I found that in a few baby book of names. Has many different spellings: Liana, Leana, Leanna, Lianna, Leighanna, Leighana, Leiana, LeeAnna, Leeana, & LeAna. |
