Default God's Word Brings Focus

GOD'S WORD BRINGS FOCUS

There are times when we are distracted, lost, confused, angry, afraid or just flustered. We may not have the right words to say. We may feel what we want to say isn't exactly what should be said. We may feel inferior or unimportant to speak out. When we feel that way, we need to remember God's word. He tells us He created our mouths and will instruct us on the right things to say when we focus on Him.

Exodus 4:10 "But Moses pleaded with the LORD, 'O Lord, I'm not very good with words. I never have been, and I'm not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.' Then the LORD asked Moses, 'Who makes a person's mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.'" (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know You would never put us in a situation where You aren't willing to help us out. When it comes to us having the right words to say, we know we need to trust in You. We know we need to focus on You. We know our trust and focus will help us know what words You want us to say. You created us. You planned our words before we were even born. Remind us today to speak out for You trusting in You to guide our words. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we don't know what to say, God's word can bring focus on what is important and what needs to be said.

We should never back down from speaking because we feel inadequate. Instead, we should trust in God to give us the right words to say.

God created every part of us and can help us with the right words to say.

We don't have to lean on our own understanding to speak to others about God. He will help us.

When we trust in God and pray before speaking, He will speak through us to make a difference in the lives of others.

Matthew 10:20 "For it is not you who will be speaking - it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you." (NLT)

Focus: When we focus on God and read His word, He will give us the right words to say.
