Topic of the Week, words beginniing with the letter "W"

W is for Word. Words are good. They are even better when the meaning is applied to your life. Words are even better when they are meant, inspired, and motivational. A well spoken word can bring a smile to someone's face.

Today I saw an older lady, looked like the bride's grandmother getting into a car. I looked at her and said, "I really like your dress." It was taupe, with a small amount of black patterning on the top. The skirt was long and she had a long coat over it. Very attractive and I told her so. Her eyes opend wide and her whole face smiled and it look like I made her day, but more importantly, her smile made mine. I don't think I will ever forget it.

W is for Willing. When I can't find the willingness, I pray for the willingness to be willing. If I am not willing to be honest and open minded, the program won't work for me.

W is for Work. We need to work the program and apply the principles of the steps to our lives. It is a living program and it does take work. It is one day at a time, and it is up to me whether I make it a 24 hour day or a 2-4 hour a day program.

I was a workaholic for many years. I got addicted to busy and didn't work my program for me. It was always for someone else.

W is for Wish. Don't wish your day away, get proactive. You have a second chance at life, make the most of it. We can do what I can't do alone. The 12 Steps are a living program, but you have to want it in order in order for it to work.

W is for Wait. Wait, don't leave until the miracle happens. Bring the body and the mind will follow. Wait on your God, He/She got you here, He/She has a purpose for you. Stay in the positive and eliminate the negative from your life, and you will recover, one day at a time.
