My sponsor told me that the normal thing for an alcoholic to do is drink. It is the not drinking, that we do one day at a time. We can mentally and emotional slip before we physically pick up. Generally it starts with telling ourselves we no longer need to go to meetings. There is a lot of recovery material on the site, hope you will find what you need.
