REWARD FOR SUFFERING
We obey God because we love Him. However, God has many blessings and rewards for us when we are obedient. An example is when Job suffered by losing his family, his money and his possessions. He was left hurt, alone and even his friends thought he had done something wrong. His wife even wanted him to curse God and die. However, even in the worst suffering, he didn't give up on God. And, in the end, he was rewarded with more than what he had before. God loves us and wants to reward us when we stay focused on Him even in our suffering.
Isaiah 61:8 "For I, the LORD, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them." (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know there will be times when we suffer and we don't know the reason. We know there will be times when we suffer and can't see when it will ever stop. We want to turn to You in our suffering, keep our trust in You and know You will be with us. We know Your word will help us prepare for suffering. We know when we stay focused on You in the midst of suffering, You will get us through it and You will reward us for being obedient to You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
When we keep our faith in God as we endure suffering, He will get us through it and give us peace.
It is possible to focus on God even in the grimmest situations. We can prepare now for those times by studying His word.
We are so blessed God rewards those who keep their eyes on Him and trust in Him when they are suffering.
God is faithful. We can always count on His word. The more we know it, the quicker we will turn to Him in times of trouble.
God loves us and wants to reward us when we stay focused on Him even in our suffering.
1 Peter 3:14a "But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don't be afraid and don't worry. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life." (NLT)
Focus: There is no reason to worry when we have suffering in our lives. God wants our worship, not our worry.
