One thing alcoholics and most addicted people are very good at is BLAME.
Blame everyone but themselves for their problems. There motto seems to be
" YOU MADE ME DO IT " Self examination takes a strong personality not a weak one.

Those who feel sorry for them and fall into their trap suffer - That is where tough love and DETACHMENT with love must be applied - There are many solutions to escape the controlling factor often associated with being part of their lives.

The primary solution lies with facing the reality of the situation - making the best life for our self and other loved ones that you can especially if any children are involved. Alone if necessary.

Everyone is stronger then they imagine.. We were not born here to suffer needlessly - unless we make that decision ourselves.. There are always ways out of any dilemma we may find ourselves in - There are many programs to help. It takes faith in ourselves with the help of our higher power to guide us..

Don't know if it was an original thought, or something I heard at a meeting. A fellow member in NA talked to me about guilt and blame. I said, if you take me out of the equation, you are left with bla! It is all about me, not others. You get the blahs and you become self-centered. When you have blah, you have nothing and the focus is back on you, where you need to be. It is about you and your recovery.

Blame is a game, don't play into it.
