REJECTION
There are going to be times in our lives when we are rejected by someone. It starts when we are children and we aren’t picked for a team. It continues when we begin dating and that certain someone breaks up with us. As we grow older, we may be rejected for a job, a home purchase, etc. The list goes on and on. When we are rejected, we may want to get angry and upset; however, we need to forgive those who reject us for whatever reason and continue to put our faith and trust in God. He will never ever reject us. He wants us as His own.
1 Peter 2:4 “You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, it isn’t fun being rejected. Jesus felt rejected when others scorned and mocked Him. Other believers have felt the rejection from people when they spoke out and stood up for You. We know there will be times when we are rejected and we pray when that happens You will prepare us with a forgiving heart. Help us to move forward with Your plans for us knowing You have something great in mind and You will never reject us. We know we are Your children and You love us. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we are rejected by others, we can turn to God and He can help us to forgive them.
God wants us to know that even Jesus was rejected in this world but He didn’t lose hope in God.
Jesus forgave others for rejecting Him and continued to do what God required of Him to do.
Rather than getting upset or angry when we are rejected, we need to forgive and move on.
When we are rejected by others, we can always know we will not be rejected by God.
Psalm 94:14 “The Lord will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession.” (NLT)
Focus: No matter who rejects us on this earth, we need to remember God will never reject His children.
