Today I will ...not give in to a lazy mindset. I will work while it is today.

Today I will ...put aside all distractions and meditate on Psalms 91, comforted by God's presence.

Today I will ...choose to forgive all who have offended me.

Today I will ...be open to the unexpected people or events that may come to shake up my routine and restore my focus on God.

Today I will...be aware of the gentle prodding of the Spirit, encouraging me to help others.

Today I will ...renew my strength through actively waiting on the Lord.

Today I will ...seek restoration by drawing close to the Lord and depending on his mercy.

Today I will ...choose to forgive all who have offended me.

It isn't about them, it is about me and my recovery. Recovery is about taking the focus off of others and turning our site inward and looking at ourselves and quitting the blame game. Yes we need to forgive others, but there is always a part that we need to take ownership of. How did we put ourselves in the position in the first place is a good place to start?

As today's post says, "Look to God for the restoration of our hurt and pain, and heal our soul."

Never ceases to amaze me how often the "echo" keeps occurring ;)
Just yesterday another church member and I were chatting about embracing adversity. When we embrace adversity it strengthens our faith and it also glorifies God.

I have also heard it said that adversity occurs..or better put that God puts adversity in our lives..not to test us but to remind us how much we truly do need Him and to rely upon Him and lean on Him.

Today I will...take a holy pause, drop the heavy load, and soak up God's Word.

Today I will...acknowledge my pride and choose to humbly depend on God's grace for my confidence.

Today I will ...sow to the Spirit, so that I might reap abundant life in God.

Today I will ...treat those around me with chesed, even if they don't deserve it, because God has shown me favor and kindness that I do not deserve.

Today I will ...resist the temptation to judge others. Instead, I will listen before speaking and extend forgiveness as God has forgiven me.

Today I will ...limit myself to words that are true, positive, and a good investment of the power that God has placed in them.

Today I will...bow before Jesus, recognizing him as Lord in all aspects of my life.

Today I will ...stop watching TV or reading, and invest one hour in being close with the Lord.
