Gratitude For My Life

Even though today I'm not drinking or using, I still have to live life on life's terms. Today I am grateful to have a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes to wear, a therapist that cares, an A.A. network that cares, a boyfriend and a family that will talk to me. The world doesn't mold to me, so today I have to learn to live in the world. Some days I am grateful for the trials I go through because they strengthen my faith.

Welcome Quirkygirl, so sorry this is late. I am grateful that you made the decision to join our family. Hope you will continue to come and share your journey with us.

I am behind in my gratitude list, so I didn't see your post. Always grateful, the worst day in recovery is better than any day when I was using, especially when I think of the cost and how fleeting was the happiness, with little thought of gratitude.

Just to be clean and sober in today, makes me grateful.
