TEACHING WITH GENTLENESS

When we direct and help others, a kind word is better than a harsh one. Teaching them with gentleness will help them to see Jesus in us. Teaching them with gentleness will show them God’s love. Teaching them with gentleness can only be done by reading God’s word and allowing the Holy Spirit to consume us. When we teach others, we need to seek God’s gentleness so He can allow His words to penetrate gently yet deeply into their hearts.

Deuteronomy 32:2 “Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we pray You will give us the right words to say to others when we are helping them. We pray You will help us to instruct and teach according to Your will so our words will be like honey but also be helping. We know with a kind word we can get more done than with a harsh and condoning one. Give us the right words today so we can teach with gentleness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we decide to teach with gentleness, God will give us the right words to say.

When we teach with gentleness, we will gain respect and we will honor God by obeying Him.

Harsh words used while teaching others will not go deeply into their hearts but gentle and kind words will last much longer.

We can be stern with what is right to do but gentle in speech with God’s help.

If we want others to really learn what is right, we have to teach them gently what to do.

Proverbs 16::24 “Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” (NLT)

Focus: Let’s pray before we speak or instruct others so we can allow God to help us speak gently.
