LOOKOUT

When we are not aware of our surroundings, things can quickly happen that could lead to danger. We could be in a parking area and someone approach us who wants to harm us. We could be driving and look down for one second which could cause a wreck. We could be hanging out with people who are leading us down the wrong path in life. We need to be on the lookout for things that could be dangerous to us and others. We should be focusing on God and living by the Spirit so He can help us be more aware of our surroundings. And be on the lookout in every area of our lives.

Galatians 5:25 “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come to You to help us today. We want to be more aware of our wrongdoing and the wrongdoing of others. Help us to lookout for wrongdoing so we can stop it and if we can’t stop it, we can at least stay away from it. Keep us mindful of what is right and resist all that is wrong. Help us to live by the Spirit today in every part of our lives. Thank You, Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we decide to live by the Spirit, God will help us determine right from wrong.

We should be living as God wants us to live in every part of our lives – not just one or two areas.

God wants us to give ourselves completely to Him today so He can guide us to be good, love others and help others.

If we see we are doing things that are not right, it is possible to turn away from them when we decide to turn to God.

If we want to be on a firm foundation and be more aware of what could lead us astray, then we need to get deeper into God’s word.

Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.” (NLT)

Focus: Be open, be ready, be teachable today so we can identify God’s will and lookout for any wrongdoing.

Me being silly, `They are coming to get you, aha, aha!` There are no recovery police, but I always like to think, what would I do if Jesus knocked on my door. Would I be willing to let Him in, or would I make excuses and block Him into my space, because I figure it isn`t good enough, I don`t believe He is what I need in the moment, or I am embarrassed, because of the poor relationship I have had in the past.
